For certain programming that requires database manipulation, an extension for the database must be installed on our Web servers so that they can interact properly. To do this, we set up an ODBC System DSN which points to an Access database within your Web site. The database is placed in a data directory outside of the content directory for security purposes. You also have the ability to setup an unlimited amount of DSN-less connections to Access database files. |
